Egmond aan Zee is an idyllic destination for beach and nature lovers. Surrounded by extensive dunes, one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. You can enjoy walking and cycling here. The beach is a 400 meter walk from Tiny Villa de Haas.

There are cozy beach pavilions on the beach where you can eat with a view of the sea or enjoy a cooling drink in the summer or hot chocolate after a walk when it is cold.

In summer you can rent sun loungers and parasols at the pavilions.

There are many nice shops and eateries in the pleasant shopping street, including for breakfast. The shopping street is a 100-meter walk from Tiny Villa de Haas. You can walk straight to the beach from the shopping street. In the summer months there is a fair in the village every Wednesday. There are also regular markets on the boulevard in the summer, such as the art market and the Roots market. Winter and summer a small market every Thursday morning.

The dunes around Egmond aan Zee are an oasis of peace, even in the busy summer months. On the north side of Egmond you can take a walk along the "Lankies".

In the winter months, various events are organized in Egmond aan Zee, such as the Fjoertoer in November, the half Marathon in January, the Egmond Pier Egmond and the walking marathon.
